Somewhere out there....

We took this picture tonight after a rain storm - We were driving and Joseph looked at the rainbow and said "it looks like it goes to China..."

Today is Monday and our Dossier has been at our agency exactly 3 days. They said it should take 9 - 11 business days and it feels like it's been 11 days - but no, it's only 3 days - trust me on this one, I called our agency, it's only been 3. They probably noted on my file, pain in the @$!% client called today. Well, I had to know our dossier was being looked at and all was okay - the response I got (as I've heard in many other situations in my life), "no news is good news"..... Okay, chill out.... On a lighter note, Joseph began guitar lessons today after school. He did really well and most important, he loved it.... He's got a leg up having been playing the violin for three years, but who's bragging. He loved his homework of having to practice ten minutes a day. Joe is as proud as can be and so am I, and so is Chloe, and so is Spot and so is Picachoo..... see pics for proof!!!

We are in Review/Translation!!!

I sent our completed Dossier on Tuesday (see post below) and of course the Fedex plane broke down - I guess it could be worse and they could have lost my package but they only broke down - causing our package to be delivered today - 9/14. We received a very nice email from our agency with the subject "Your Dossier was Recieved" it went on to explain the steps it will now go through: 1: check-in - making sure everything is there; 2: Critical Review/Translation - all of the documents are actually looked at by three different people to ensure everything is correct, 3: Binding - Our dossier is bound in a red binder, with our photos mounted, and all of our documents carefully lined up and ordered according to the CCAA's preference and 4: Mailing: Lastly, our dossier will be carefully packaged and sent to China via international express mail! Hopefully all is in order and we'll be Date to China by the end of next week and LID by October 1 - China shuts down for about 1 week the first week of October, so I'm not sure how it works if your Dossier is sent during that time - I assume it just waits to be logged in - waiting....I'm getting good at that. For those that know me well - waiting is not my favorite thing but my mom always said good thing come to those who wait..... or was that good things come in small packages :) In any event, I know a good thing will come at the end of this long, long road. On another note I had an awesome weekend in New York. Dennis and Christina got married - what a wedding - just beautiful. Seeing my family and my best friend during my trip was just great! Done Paperchasing!!

I am very happy (estatic actually) to post that today I spent 2 hours at Kinkos preparing our final dossier to send to our agency in Colorado. We received our last authenticated document over the weekend. We are done paperchasing. It took five months to complete. Now, hopefully it will pass critical review. If everything is correct and we don't have to re-do anything, it should be at the agency for about 2 weeks for review and translation. Then they bind and mount everything with our photos, etc. and off to China it goes. Then we hurry up and wait.......
