My favorite gift...
Santa brought new clay to our house and Joseph's last toy he wanted to play with tonight was his clay. He told his dad he wanted to make me a ladybug and isn't it just perfect? I love it. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

It's all about Mimi....
Anyone who knows me, knows that I don't do well with surprises and I'm really bad about needing to know what my gifts are before I open them. I know it's a really bad trait, but hey at least I admit to my faults. As a child I opened presents and re-wrapped them. Okay, now my mother will know the truth after all these years. Well MRK received a package from her Aunt Christina and did she really think I was waiting till Christmas - nope, opened them all - See picture below. The MRK letters came last month from Grandma and match her room perfectly.... Thanks Aunt Christina - we can so picture her in this beautiful outfit, the China Barbie is awesome and the ladybug will be coming to China with us.

Six Years....
On December 14, 2000, our father died. There are days that is seems like yesterday he was here but then other days the reality of those 6 years hits hard. I often wonder what our lives would be like had he still been here. He was special - he was the best husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law ever.....
I miss you dad.... Merry Christmas...
You are forever in our hearts
xoxoxo- DD
I don't have many digital pictures of him but below is a slide show of what I could find.

Christmas tree, boat parade....
This weekend was filled with buying our Christmas tree and decorating it and also deciding to enter the annual boat parade and therefore having to decorate our boat.... Well this was very last minute so we definitely didn't win. Since it was our first year, we took our pontoon to see what it was about - we put some lights and a snowman on the front (see slideshow for proof) it was so much fun and geez some of these boats were done up... I'm starting to think of tacky, I mean really holiday type themes to decorate our boat next year - Joseph already decided we should enter our Formula next year as we'll have more to decorate and we can make it really tacky, I mean Christmassy...... I'm thinking blow up palm trees, pink flamingos.... any ideas would be greatly appreciated. See slide show for details.

Presents, Boo, Update
Big, huge thanks to my mom for my beautiful (early) Christmas present (on my neck in the pic) Yes, my very own Tiffany necklace. I have wanted this forever and I am so happy, as is Joe, that I now have my very own :) It came all pretty, in the blue box with the blue bow.
Update on Boo.... She is doing awesome and is so sweet. She has so many of Chloe's traits - she is always with one of us. If Joseph is in the bath, she is in the bathroom, if Joe is working in his office, she is next to him - you get it. The only trait she does not have is that she does not bark! Not a peep. Hmmm, good and bad. Boo is getting spayed on Thursday, and of course, we are nervous about it, so please keep Ms. Boo in your thoughts for a speedy recovery.
Adoption update - Referals this month were a bit disappointing but I'm always so happy and thrilled for those receiving them that it takes my mind off how long we will be waiting for the moment. Then it sets in.... how long will it be? I try not to focus on it for too long but some days are harder than others.
I Hope everyone is getting into the spirit - we need to get our tree so it feels like Christmas around here - it will be different for us getting our tree this year wearing shorts, t-shirts and crocs!
