Big Fish

This was the big catch by J back in June while we were on our first boat trip to Boca Grande. It is a Gafftop Sail Catfish. It took all these months to have it mounted. We normally always catch and release our fish (well except a really big Grouper or Snapper!) but this was too impressive not to keep. The picture doesn't do it justice - it is so cool!

Marathon 2007

Today Joseph ran his first marathon to raise money for the Childrens Hospital in our area. He was able to run/walk around the track 20x - it was the inside track but nonetheless we are proud....

My mom, my sister and my secret pal....

My mom and sister left yesterday to head back to the cold, cold weather of the North. Hope you are both staying warm! We had an awesome visit and lots of laughs. We all miss you both very much.
My Yahoo group started a Secret Pal exchange - it has been so much fun. I have enjoyed buying for my secret pal and really enjoyed getting my first package. The theme for January was winter fun. My pal sent me such wonderful and thoughtful presents. I can't wait to find out who she is - she has given me some clues so we'll see how long it takes for me to figure it out :) S.P. - if you read my blog, thanks again! Memories from the love of my life

This video was a christmas present from Joe to me in 2004. I've uploaded it to You Tube so I can preserve it and have it on MRK's blog. Funny how much Joseph has changed (well all of us for that matter :) - amazing what a difference 2 years makes... Thanks for making this for me Joe - I'll cherish it forever. There are about 25 seconds before the music starts.

Expectations

Last month, Alice sent me a very beautiful and touching gift. It is the "Expectations" bracelet. The card that came with it reads 9 Bracelets for 9 months of Joy! May your child be: Creative, Honest, Healthy, Loving, Kind, Happy, Wise, Spiritual, Gentle. Alice added "even though it will be more than 9 months, I wish all of this for Miranda Rae". I have put on the first 2 bracelets and I will pray that when the last one is put on, we will be close to getting our daughter. The recent increase in wait times has us a little uneasy about how long it will actually get to but we are continuing to keep our faith.....

2007 - May this year bring health, peace and happiness to everyone. In addition to those wishes, we pray that this will be the year that our daughter joins our family. Wherever you are Miranda Rae, your in our hearts and our thoughts each and every day. Joseph made a toast at dinner to his sister then when we were doing fireworks he looked up at the sky and said "Mimi I hope that whereever you are, you are safe". He is going to be such a good big brother.....
